You have always dreamed about having the perfect wedding surrounded by all your family and friends with lots of flowers, beautiful music and an exceptional reception. Suddenly, you realize that your dream wedding can be very costly. With the right planning your ideal wedding can be achieved if you follow some guidelines.

Choosing your wedding day must come first and once this is done, the next move to make is to create a specific wedding plan that you constantly must follow to stay within budget. Your budget wedding planner should clearly list every aspect needed for your wedding, from the number of attendees, to the size of your reception hall, the time of day, your theme and colors, formality, etc…

When you have a plan in place then it’s time to move on with more specific details.

1. Plan everything as far ahead as possible. Many times when planning something months ahead in advanced you are able to get better deals with caterers, reception halls, musicians, etc…

2. Compare prices with several businesses that provide the services you need for your event. Use your bargaining skills and see who can give you the cheapest deal.

3. Think carefully about the size of your wedding, bigger is not necessarily better. A large reception means more money for food, drinks, etc… Overall it will be a bigger expense because of the extra number of guests.

4. If what you need is to keep your expenses low, then plan for a small wedding. A small group surrounding you can give your wedding a sense of warmth, coziness and intimacy, but costing less at the same time.

5. Keep track of everything you spend on. Small things can add up to large amounts; therefore, causing for you to go over budget.

6. Don’t turn down any type of support from your family or friends. It’s common for loved ones to contribute some sort of help for a wedding.

Remember, your wedding has to be what you have always envisioned. Don’t allow anyone to persuade you to change anything. Stick to your budget wedding planner so you won’t run out of money and watch every penny you spend. Keep your wedding small by only inviting close relatives and friends. Bargain with businesses for the cheapest prices and accept any help from anyone around you. May you have the best day ever at your wedding!
