When writing your profile, just be honest, but don’t be afraid to focus on your positive traits. You need to be forthcoming if you just got divorced, if you have kids, but you can save the stuff about the toenail fungus and the hairy back for later. Sell yourself, brag about your promotion at work, brag about your new house, but don’t lie and don’t exaggerate.

So the idea here is simply: Be honest, be forthcoming, focus on the good aspects of yourself, but be honest about who you really are.
